Chapter 1 of the How To Make A Website (Series) - How To Setup A Bluehost Hosting Cpanel. http://ift.tt/1s77EJB Full Series Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOvXlTdABSI via YouTube http://youtu.be/EXO_Ihdu_OA How To Make A Website (Series) made by Jeff Gilden's Channel How To Make A Website (Series) - Click here to follow along with me as we create a website together: https://goo.gl/SkXgHp - In the next 15 minutes we are literally going to make a website step by step so that at the end you will be live on the web. All you need is a few minutes (a little bit of courage) and you can have your very own website up and running. To make a website, you need 5 basic elements (which are taken care of using our easy install method): 1: Register A Domain Name Before you can create your website, you need to register a domain name so people can find your site online. Luckily, you can register your domain at the same time you are creating your website account with Bluehost so they make it extremely easy to get your website up and running in no time. 2: Setup Web Hosting This is also included in the hosting signup process. In order for you to make a website available to the world 24/7, you will need to host it somewhere. We recommend Bluehost for your hosting because they make the website creation process as simple as possible. To get the best price, go to http://ift.tt/1FTV2Xn 3: Configure Your Domain & Webhosting Once you have your domain name and your hosting setup, you will need to point your domain’s name servers to your web host. Now if you setup the domain and web hosting in the signup process, Bluehost has already done this. If you registered your domain somewhere else, you will need to enter your name servers at the registrar level (example: Godaddy.com). The name servers can be found in your CPanel account on the left hand side. It will be something like ns86.bluehost.com. It sounds technical, but it’s real easy to find and connect your website and domain. It takes literally 30 seconds…and a bit of courage :) 4: Install Your WordPress Website In order to make a website look great and function properly, it is best to configure a CMS (Content Management System) to help you manage the web content, images, videos, ect. The most popular CMS around and the moment is WordPress. WordPress is currently estimated to be running millions of websites and even powers some of the top company websites. This video will show you how to create your Wordpress website in just a few clicks and get a basic website up and running. It’s that simple. 5: Make Your Website Your Own After you make your website, you will need to customize the look and feel of the site and add some plugins to make it function however you need it to. In this video, I only scratch the surface of the potential of the new website that you have just made for yourself. There are tons of website tutorials out there to help you do all kinds of things to your site. That’s It! Pat yourself on the back. You have just created a website :) Now go enjoy your new Wordpress website! via YouTube http://youtu.be/vOvXlTdABSI I created a really good Bluehost review video on YouTube that I would like to share: http://goo.gl/CaJYDx If you are looking to make a website or switch hosting companies you should consider Bluehost hosting.
